The Quebec Music Council (CQM) presented its 29th Opus Awards Gala today at Salle Bourgie in the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. This flagship event of the Quebec music scene recognized 33 winners for their achievements during the 2024-2025 season.
“ Congratulations to all the artists and ensembles who submitted proposals for evaluation by the Opus Awards juries. Our musical community is distinguished by a wealth of talent and remarkable vitality, which the Conseil québécois de la musique (CQM) strives to support and promote. We hope that the selection of the winners will capture the attention of our leaders and encourage them to fully recognize the richness of this artistic pool, in order to value its essential contribution and guarantee everyone the conditions conducive to expressing their creativity, ” commented Caroline Louis, President of the CQM.
Thanks to its valued partners, the CQM was able to present ten Opus Awards accompanied by a cash amount or services, including the Concert of the Year – Quebec Traditional Music Award presented to Nicolas Pellerin and Les Grands Hurleurs for his show LAYON.
The artists, as well as La Compagnie du Nord, wish to thank the Conseil québécois de la musique, as well as the Conseil québécois du patrimoine vivant for this wonderful recognition of the work done by our artisans.
